Oxygen is the number 8 Elemental Animal of the Periodic Table. He is an ox (hence his name), and is said to be best friends with Hydrogen.
He is a member of the Nonmetal group.
Much like several stronger characters such as Boron, Oxygen is muscular and overall large in stature. His fur is generally a shady-hue of blue, with some faint, sky-colored patches covering his underbelly and snout. His hooves are greenish-black, and his tail is abnormally long for an ox, possessing a red-orange tip.
His horns have a unique curve, and bear a strip of green which fades to a white color. Oxygen wears a turquoise collar, and also has vibrant-orange eyes.

- At first, during development, there was confusion whether if Oxygen could be a male or female character.
- He bears a striking resemblance to Babe the Blue Ox from the American tall tale of Pual Bunyan, a giant lumberjack.
